Generator Replacement

Challenge:

A municipal client needed to guarantee power to their village hall in the event of a utility power failure. Their current generator only supported portions of their village hall with emergency power and they needed a new unit designed to provide emergency power to the entire building.

Solution:

Valdes conducted site investigations and worked with the village to determine the siting of the generator. Valdes also worked with the manufacturer to select a generator that was within acceptable decibel levels as it was determined that the best location for the generator was near the village manager’s offices.

Impact:

Valdes designed a new generator for the municipal client to supply emergency power to their village hall. New electrical panels and a new automatic transfer switch were included in the project. Valdes worked with the village through construction and start-up to make certain that the generator met the village's needs for emergency power.
